Object Oriented C#/ASP.NET Developer

Advancelogix is seeking an Object Oriented C#/ASP.NET Developer for a direct hire opportunity with a company in north Austin. In this position, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining several C# ASP.NET web applications and web services products to satisfy business requirements. Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Provide accurate levels of effort (LOE) to team supervisor and project managers and communicate when the level of effort has changed.
  • Analyze defects discovered by Quality Assurance or escalated by the business and provide meaningful solutions in a timely manner.
  • Work with mentors/team leads/ etc. to fully understand the features that are unclear in the specifications.
  • Resolve defects in the software and/or database.
  • Document and report in detail the impact analysis of code changes-used by QA to provide good coverage of product.
  • Review impact analysis documentation of other Software Engineers.
  • Document system level designs.
  • Work effectively both autonomously and as a team player to accomplish company goals.


Successful candidates for this position will possess a Bachelor's degree in CS or MIS, as well as a minimum of 4+ years of experience developing C# ASP.Net web applications and services, as well as:
  • Working Knowledge of MS SQL Server (Query Analyzer, Profiler, Traces)
  • Proficient in SQL and can demonstrate a working knowledge of commonly used relational data models (link tables, master-detail relationships, etc.)
  • Extensive Knowledge of .Net and the classes that build the framework.
  • Extensive knowledge of Object Oriented Design and Programming.
  • Expertise in using debugging tools to analyze software defects and impacts of changes.
  • Familiarity with version control systems
  • Possess clear understanding of SDLC and other industry standard development practices.
  • Three or more years in developing enterprise software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding analytical and troubleshooting skills.


  • Having knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures in the medical industry is a plus.
  • C# WinForms/WPF/WFC is a plus
  • Ajax/JavaScript is a plus
  • Delphi is a plus
  • Knowledge of network administration and domains is a plus
  • Citrix/Terminal Services is a plus

Application Developer

Candidate will be responsible for the continued development and maintenance of a high transaction ASP.NET web-site used in a multi-user, business to business, environment throughout the United States .
Desired Qualifications:

  • 3 years experienced with the use of the Visual Studio .NET 2003 IDE.
  • Experienced using source control programs, preferably Visual Source Safe.
  • Understanding and practical experience in the use of assemblies in .NET development.
  • 3 years experience of Object Oriented Programming techniques.
  • Experience with custom business objects and collections.
  • Experience with Encryption/hashing
  • .NET Web Services
  • Familiarity with Cascading Style Sheets, with ability to conform to UI design standards.
  • Internet Information Server: Should be familiar with the structure and operation of Microsoft Internet Information Server
  • Display a high degree of inquisitiveness and an eagerness to learn at a detailed and abstract level.
  • Practical experience in the development and use of MS SQL 2000 Stored Procedures.
  • Understanding of and experience with JavaScript, specifically as implemented in IE 5.0 and later.
  • Ability to work well under time constraints.
